These colorful eggs all come from the Mistle Thrush, a bird found all through Europe and Southern Asia, South to the Mediterranean and East to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the Himalayas. I painted these eggs in watercolor and gouache on an antique French postcard. I then collaged on antique ephemera including stamps and a part of a French letter. I added on art paper, a transfer, and scrumbling in gouache and watercolor.
