The colors of French song bird eggs are so beautiful and delicate. I painted them in watercolor and gouache on an antique french postcard that I collaged with an antique letter dated 1894. I added an antique French stamp. The eggs that I painted starting bottom (left to right) are: Hawfinch, House Sparrow, Magpie (center large egg), Common Bullfinch, Corn Bunting. The eggs on the top row (left to right) are Red-Backed Shrike, Great Tit, Willow Warbler, Yellow Wagtail.
